The Edgy Organic Necklace

Pocahontas would love this fringed necklace from Third Street Habit. Made by the Italian jewelry line Iosselliani, the necklace ($220) is true example of Native American chic, as it culls its beauty from earthly, natural elements: turquoise stones parallel the length of a horn-shaped mother of pearl shell, while the necklace's sterling silver fringe appears to have been singed by a red hot flame.

We love the fringe's ombre, "burnt" appearance caused by an oxidation process; the chain strands fade from silver to eighteen karat gold plate before finishing into a sooty black. The liquidy touch of the fringe is something you have to feel to appreciate.
