Philly Goes Green

St. Patty's Day should (barely) be one to remember

Dust off that green sweater and scally cap, Philadelphia, St. Patrick’s Day has returned in full force to the City of Brotherly Love. Here are a few of the many places in and around Philly to get your green on this St. Patty’s Day.

McFadden’s on Third St.
“McPattysfest” will be hard to stay away from, boasting one of the best specials that any shallow-pocketed Irishman could ask for:
$3 Coors Lights
$4 Guinness pints
$5 Red Bull and vodka
$6 Car bombs
Yeah, you’ll probably be calling out of work the next day. Not to mention the Broesler School of Irish Dance will be performing traditional Irish dancing followed by the rocking Lost In Paris and always entertaining Mr. Greengenes. This event will send you into code green on your fun-o-meter.

Any corner bar on Walnut Street
It’s pretty much St. Patrick’s gauntlet -- Bard’s, Moriarty’s, the Irish Pub -- take your pick! Each one of these cozy corner watering holes will be sure to greet you with a pint and leave your Irish eyes smiling upon walking (or being carried) out. Here lies the true test of how much green actually runs through your veins. We say reate your own pub-crawl. Do it.

Whatever Patty party you choose to attend, please make sure to drink responsibly as well as hide your friend’s camera.

And any set of car keys.

And delete all of your old love interests out of your cell phone.

But most of all have fun! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
