Never been to Fishtown?
No time like the present – or near future.
Head down the Fishtown on Saturday, October 2 for the RiverCity Festival at Penn Treaty Park where you can experience everything that the neighborhood has to offer.
The day kicks off with a 5k run. The entrance fee is $20 for adults and $15 for kids. The first 100 people to register get a free T-shirt.
After the run, the party begins, on the waterfront, with performances by Kelly Overdrive, Wareika Hill, Leana Song and the West Philly Orchestra.
Throughout the day, interested folks can learn the rich history of Fishtown and learn all about the community’s programs and latest news.
Local restaurants will be dishing up some very special plates especially for the festival.
The RiverCity Run starts at 10 a.m., the celebration begins at noon.
Don’t forget to bring the kiddies! They’ll have their own corner of fun where they can play games, get their face painted, jump in the moonbounce or enjoy a magic show. Plus, the Philadelphia Zoo is bringing live animals!
