Like Sheep to the Slaughter

The safe bet is that like sheep to the slaughter the Sixers will fall to the mighty Boston Celtics Tuesday night to pay a visit to their rivals lead by the three-headed monster of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen.

The Sixers are 13-point dogs to the rival Boston Celtics for good reason -- just look at the records alone. The C's are an NBA-best 26-2 while the 76ers wallow in the middle of the pack at 12-15.

It's not just about records alone:

The Sixers are such a huge underdog in this game that according to ESPN's Accuscore system they have less than a one-percent chance of topping the mighty Celtics.

It seems like Andre Miller, Andre Iguodala, Reggie Evans and the rest of the 76ers will be spending a lot of time shrugging their shoulders in Boston.

With that said there is one thing that could work in the Sixers favor -- the Celtics are set for a Christmas night date in L.A. against the Lakers. The Celts could possibly be looking ahead for their NBA Finals rematch against Kobe Bryant's Lakers and in the process get caught off guard by the Tony DiLeo-led Sixers.

The Sixers may have to play tonight without Willie Green who is questionable according to USA Today.
