Now here’s something that doesn’t happen everyday -- getting the chance to drink for the benefit of 1.4 million people.
On Sunday, October 3, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Pier 27 at Penn’s Landing will host the 16th annual Sippin’ By The River.
For $35 in advance and $40 at the door, you can sample a huge variety of beers and wines. Guests can nibble on food from vendors while the cover band DAME provides the tunes.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Philadelphia/Delaware Valley Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA).
The CCFA aids programs for people suffering from both Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. They are digestive disorders of the intestines, better known as inflammatory bowel disease, or IBD.
