And yes, we've all had some kind of bad experience on the one day of the year that Hallmark insists we show our love for another, but do you think your story is the worst of the worst? Here's a tale from an NBC staffer:
"I had just gone through a horrible breakup caused by the fact that my girlfriend of four years was cheating on me with a member of my band. Unwilling to break up the band, I continued to play and at a gig on Valentine's Day (in the middle of a set) my bandmate proposed to my ex-RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! Needless to say, I threw one of my drums at him and stormed off stage. I haven't played with the band or seen the ex since."
