Homebase Skate Shop in Bethlehem, Pa. is celebrating their ninth anniversary with an amateur skateboard competition on Saturday.
The shop will host a qualifier for the international Red Bull Manny Mania skateboard competition at Bethlehem Skateplaza that will give local skateboarders a chance at participating in the national competition.
The winner in Bethlehem will get a trip to Los Angeles to compete in the U.S. National Finals.
This year will mark the fifth year of the Red Bull Manny Mania competition, in which competitors will work their way to either the Red Bull Manny Mania World Final or the Red Bull Manny Mania Pro that will take place in New York City in late August.
Bethlehem Skateplaza is located at 1325 Steel Ave. in Bethlehem.
Registration for the event will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and competition will take place from 1 to 5 p.m.
Guests can show their support for Homebase Skate Shop the next day at the Air Products Town Square at the new SteelStacks entertainment complex.
Homebase will be hosting a BBQ from 2 to 8 p.m. to benefit the Bethlehem Skateplaza that will feature a live performance from The Great White Caps and tons of family-friendly activities.
