Pleasantville Police Headquarters Evacuated Due to Bomb Scare

Pleasantville Police headquarters were evacuated early Monday evening after someone brought a suspicious package inside the building.

Police say a man who works at a local thrift store found what he believed to be a bomb.

According to investigators, the device was composed of "PVC pipes" taped together with fabric wrapped around it. The man brought it to the police station on West Washington Avenue and South 2nd Street in Pleasantville, NJ.

The entire building was evacuated and the bomb squad was called to the scene. They eventually detonated the package. No one was hurt.

Officials continue to investigate the incident.
