The Roots Picnic at Penn's Landing

The Roots return for their 2nd annual eponymous music festival

They may be the official house band for "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," but The Roots haven't forgotten, um, their roots in the Illadelph. The groundbreaking band returns to Philly to host and perform at the second annual Roots Picnic at the Festival Pier at Penn's Landing this Saturday, June 6 at 2 p.m.

The all-star lineup playing on two stages at this year's Picnic includes an eclectic mix of bands and performers like TV on the Radio, Asher Roth, fellow Philly natives Santigold and King Britt, The Black Keys and more. Plus, Flavor Flav is taking a break from hunting for his Flavor of Love to reunite with seminal rap group Public Enemy to perform "It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back" backed by The Roots.

Tickets are $47.50 online or $51.00 the day of the show.
