Pica's Restaurant: The Best Pizza in Delaware County

At Picas’s there are three semi-private dining rooms for parties as large as 30 or as small as two as well as booths lining every wall. The decor is classy and gives guest that comfy, at home feeling. With dim lighting, a fireplace, and beautiful glass dividers, you’ll have privacy for your romantic dinner or birthday celebration.

Pica’s began as a West Philadelphia pizzeria in 1941 serving the first square pizza that neighborhood had ever seen. Fifteen years later, Frank Pica, Sr. and his son moved their little pizza joint to its Upper Darby location and transformed it to a full service restaurant. Over 50 years later, Pica’s is still most well-known for its delicious pizza. Each upside down (dough, cheese, and topped with sauce) square is a slice of heaven. You can get a large for $13.50 or a small for $9.95.

If pizza’s not your cup of tea, Pica’s extensive menu has got you covered. Offering everything from traditional Italian favorites like manicotti (homemade pasta tubes stuffed with ricotta cheese and topped with homemade tomato sauce and mozzarella, $12.75) and stuffed homemade cannelloni (crepe stuffed with seasoned veal, spinach and ricotta cheese, topped with sauce and fresh mozzarella, $16.95) to Philly favs including cheesesteaks ($6.25) and chicken parmigian sandwiches ($6.95) to seafood dishes; lobster and shrimp allatrietina (sauteed chipped proscuitto, shrimp, and a 3 ounce lobster tail served in a creamy cognac sauceserved over ziti, $19.95) and Cajun tuna Creole (blackened tuna in Cajun spices topped with a spicy Creole sauce, $18.95).

Open for lunch, dinner, and late night, Pica’s also offers takeout (it even has its own section of the restaurant) and a full bar. Whether you’re looking for some kick-ass pizza, traditional Italian, or a cheesesteak, Pica’s covers all the bases with great prices and service with a friendly smile.
