Inqlings: WHYY sees surge in ratings

WHYY, though cutting back its TV news operation, is seeing a ratings surge for its morning radio news. The public station (90.9) nudged out powerhouse KYW (1060) for third place among the coveted demographic of persons aged 25-54 from 6 to 10 a.m. weekdays, according to May ratings from Arbitron, released yesterday. The Preston & Steve show on rock station WMMR (93.3) owns first place, followed by Tiffany & Michael on soft rock WBEB (101.1).
