Grocery parent says sales up 13%

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - Royal Ahold NV, the operator of the Stop & Shop and Giant grocery chains in the U.S., reported today that sales grew 13 percent in the fourth quarter, helped by a stronger dollar.
