Bill Gates: Cut school costs with bigger classes, video

Microsoft founder turned world's richest philanthropist Bill Gates was in Philadelphia peddling his pet school reform program to a state legislators' convention: Use computer systems to track student performance and alumni hiring. Use the results to fire bad teachers and pay good ones more. He even had suggestions for cutting education costs: Replace some teachers with video, and allow bigger classes.
