Where to go for Fat Tuesday

Itchin’ to be a part of all the Mardi Gras madness? You don’t have to travel all the way to New Orleans to get wild because Philly's the next best thing. So grab your beads and celebrate.

Buckhead Saloon – Grab your buddies and head out to the Buckhead Saloon. Music by Loud Mouth, Split Decision, and The Rockets will have you jammin’ all night long. $2 domestic bottles from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and $4 hurricanes all night is really something to celebrate. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Cavanaugh’s Rittenhouse – This place is your Fat Tuesday headquarters. Don’t miss out on the $3 drafts all day and night and half-priced burgers. Grub on some authentic Louisiana creole while you’re at it.

Bourbon Blue – What’s the wildest thing you’d do for Mardi Gras beads? Enter the bead contest and find out. $3 Amstel Light and Heineken will be served up all night. Like live bands? The Approach and Generation Next will be there to keep you entertained. Philly truly meets New Orleans at Bourbon Blue. 

Drinker’s West – Fat Tuesday starts at 4 p.m. at Drinker’s West. 50-cent Bud Light drafts, $1 Rolling Rock Ponies, and $3 Soco and Lime shots will have you thinking you’re actually on Bourbon St. Guest DJ’s Ryan Grotz, Shecky Lopez and Bushy will be spinning all night. Get ready for Mardi Gras mayhem.

Field House – Check out Field House for their Mardi Gras blow out. Enter to win a pair of Phillies home opener tickets and a tailgate for 50 of your friends. “Beat The Clock” drink specials go from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. starting with $2 drinks. Also, Mr. Greengenes will be performing live.

Dusk – Feel like taking a trip to Jersey for the Fat Tuesday festivities? Dusk at Caesars Atlantic City is having its first annual Mardi Gras party. Dress up because the best masquerade costume wins a trip to New Orleans. Their state of the art audio visual system and theatrical lighting design add perfectly to the essence of Mardi Gras.
