What You're Doing Tonight, 6/3

WISE GAL: Get your laugh on with stand-up comedian Tammy Pescatelli of Last Comic Standing. Pescatelli, an Italian-American from Ohio, will perform 8 p.m. at Helium Comedy Club. She finished in fifth place in Comedy Central’s “Standup Showdown” in January. For more information, call 215.496.9001 or head to the Helium Comedy Club Web site.

DIRTY WORK: Head down the Avenue of the Arts, stop by Borders and see the man who needs no introduction, Artie Lange. The actor, comedian and writer will sign copies of his latest book “Too Fat to Fish.” This free event starts 6 p.m. For more information, call 215.568.7400.

MODERN METAL: Hit up the Theatre of Living Arts (TLA) tonight for a haunting evening with Isis and Pelican. Isis is a progressive metal group with a bit of avant-garde thrown. Pelican is an instrumental band and falls into the genre of “aggression with a pop sensibility,” according to band member Trevor de Brauw. The show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $17 advance and $20 at the door. Head over to Livenation.com to buy online.
