Pecan Festival at Percy Street BBQ

Next Wednesday, November 2, Percy Street BBQ will be celebrating Southern cuisine with the Pecan Festival, a Louisiana tradition involving lots of food and beer. For $50, Chef Erin O'Shea will be providing an amazing spread of all-you-can-eat smoked brisket Po' Boys, spicy corn pudding, fried oyster baskets, shrimp remoulade, and their ridiculous sweet potato pie. Included in the price of admission is a bottomless mug of Abita beers and Dixie cocktails including the always-dangerous Hurricane. This is one hump day party that's sure to inspire more than a few Thursday "sick days" for local employers.

There will be live music featuring the Percy Street Stompers (some members of the West Philadelphia Orchestra), and one woman will be crowned the Percy Street Pecan Queen. The lass who can slam a can of Abita Pecan Harvest beer the fastest will be handed the crown and a Pecan Pie from the ovens of Chef O'Shea. Call the restaurant for reservations, and we'll see you there. [The Feast]
