Party Over Here!

The 2009 Flower Show offers much more than just flora

This year's Philadelphia Flower Show isn’t just for folks who like to stop and smell the roses. Knowing well that the city of brotherly love is one heck of a food and drink town, flower show organizers have incorporated tons of eating and drinking opportunities into the floral festivities.

Among the scheduled events are Italian wine tastings which start every day of the show from noon until 2:00 and then again from 4-7, free culinary demonstrations by some of the city’s top chefs (demos are every day at noon, 1:30 and 3:00) as well as cash bars that open after 5:00 each evening for the late-day show goers.

This event is turning out to be quite a party – and definitely worth the $22 price of admission.
