Party Like It's 1985 At The Barbary

The weekly '80s party ACD WSH at the Barbary is a drunken, sweaty romp -- but it is taken very seriously. The girls don leotards and headbands, the boys, Members-Only jackets and ray-bans. Resident DJs Jess Okay and Qi Command churn out some electro remixes of eighties hits that keep the dance-crazed crowd moving without a minute to rest. And, of course, there's typically a turntable appearance by Jon Redden, who not only owns the Barbs, but almost always DJs the bar's various theme nights.

Though the tap carries more than your average domestics, PBR is definitely the drink of choice for the young, pumped, broke crowd. They swill with abandon while getting down under the disco ball or, for the brave, on the golden-curtained stage and dancing platforms.

Feel like joining the throwback fun? ACD WSH runs every Wednesday from 9 p.m.- 2 a.m. and it's free to get in. We reccommend you hit up this party when you feel like a cheap, torrid time and singing along to songs you already know by heart.
