A 14-year-old boy walking with friends in Fairmont felt pain in his back. When police discovered him -- on the 5700 block of Leonard St. in Mayfair -- he was bleeding.
The victim could identify no motive for the shooting, which occurred as he and friends were walking down the street.
The boy's friends told detectives that two unknown men wearing dark hoodies were responsible for the shooting.
One of the friends lives in the area.
The vcitim is in critical but stable condition.
