During last weekend's Crafty Balboa event, The Feast/Shop was drawn the quirky offerings of Amy Blasco Jewelry. Meant to mimic instant film, Blasco's customizable Snapshot jewelry is a blank canvas for your mom's most treasured memories.
The necklaces ($20) and pins ($12, $18) are crafted from a lightweight acrylic; add your favorite childhood snapshot, or let Mom add one herself. (Be warned: the latter option risks public display of that photo from middle school when you decided to cut your own bangs.)
You'll find selections from Blasco at East Passyunk's Nice Things Handmade, and you can look for the artist at the upcoming Art Star Craft Bazaar on May 14-15.
