Meet PIFA's Artistic Producer

Barabra Silverstein is the artistic producer for the PIFA festival, the month-long, city-wide arts festival that's included over 135 events, including a circus and 35-foot Eiffel Tower sculpture in the lobby of the Kimmel Center.

There's not much time left to get in on the fun, so Silverstein recommends you zoom in on the very best events like the upcoming 'Paris 'Til Sunday' show at the African American Museum on April 29, a weekend of concerts by legendary and emerging jazz artsts that will take place outdoors. When we say weekend-long, we mean weekendlong: The Saturday night double-stage concert begins at 10:30 p.m. and finishes at 5 a.m. Sunday morning.

Performers will include the legendary Heath Brothers Band, Gerald Veasley and piano composer Orrin Evans.

The Curator takes a peek behind the curtain to reveal the folks programming the finest events in town.
