For years, the local Marathon Grill chain was known as a place to get soup, a sandwich or a salad for lunch. But over the past few years it's started to become known as a place to have a mojito or a martini as much as a bowl of matzo ball soup. The opening of the Penn campus Marathon Grill -- and second-floor lounge Marbar -- only solidified that reputation. With its Brazilian cherry wood interior, large dance floor and bottle service, this is a cool, luxe environment for Penn students (and those who love them) to get their groove on seven nights a week. A big step above the typical college bar, Marbar has definitely filled a niche on Penn's sometimes too-cool-for-school campus.
