Two local towns have made a very exclusive list -- Business Week's "Small Towns With Big Money" list.
Stone Harbor, N.J. and Gladwyne, Pa. made the list of the 32 smallest towns with the highest home values.
Small towns on the list must have less than 10,000 people a requirement easily met by both local towns. And only one town was picked in each metro area.
People in both towns have to fork over some major dough just to get into a home.
Stone Harbor with a median home sales price near $1 million ($968,209 to be exact) and 1,039 people "thrives as a resort community that can see its population rise to 20,000 during the summer," according to Business Week.
Gladwyne comes out with a median home sale of $833,071. The Main Line town of 4,062 residents also has a lofty median household income of $159,905 and is on the Main Line -- considered one of the wealthiest areas in the country, according to Business Week.
The bevy of private schools and colleges nearby, as well as hospitals and country clubs also helps Galdwyne stand out as a small town with big bucks.
