Racing for the Cure

Help fight breast cancer this Sunday at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

Thousands of women -- and plenty of men -- laced up their running shoes and honored mom this Mother’s Day by participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

On Sunday the crowds committed to finding a cure for breast cancer at Eakins Oval at the Philadelphia Art Musuem for an action packed 5k walk, the largest series in the world with over one million participants since 2005

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the race and the fundraising goal is a whopping $2.2 million, but survivors and supporters everywhere are confident this goal will be met -- with help from you!

SEPTA added trains and expanded schedules to make the 2010 race one to remember. There were also park and ride shuttles from the Please Touch Museum. For just $7 your family could park and grab a ride to all the race day events.

The Opening Ceremony kicked off bright and early at 7 a.m.
