You like cheese, you like wine… but when it comes down to figuring out what goes best with what, you're completely at a loss. For your last party, you picked up a container of port wine cheese and went on your merry way ("it's wine, it's cheese… how bad could it be?"). Oh, the horror. It's time to call in the professionals.
The folks at Crossing Vineyards in Washington Crossing are hosting a workshop tomorrow night intended to teach neophytes the finer points of selecting cheeses and wines that complement each other. The course includes instruction, learning materials and samples (yum!) to help you hone your palate. Tickets are $35 and are available on the Crossing Vineyards website.
As if an evening out of the city wasn't tempting enough, the opportunity to wow your friends with your new knowledge should be. After seeing the impressive spread at your next party, they just might forgive the port wine cheese incident.
