The 3rd annual Hispanic Music Festival (aka Latin Fiesta) opens tomorrow at the Painted Bride Arts Center in Old City, so there's absolutely no excuse for you not to get your groove on.
For this year’s celebration, entitled “Hispanos… Many Roots… Many Faces,” instrumentalists, singers and dancers will take the stage to demonstrate the rhythms of salsa, tango and marengue through original compositions written by Oscar Hernandez, Carlos Franzetti, Arturo O'Farrill , Tania Leon, Rodney Wittenberg and Angel Fernandez. Saturday also marks the world premiere of Grammy-winner Angel Fernandez' "Tres Cuartos, Una Casa," a new piece commissioned for the Latin Fiesta.
The festivities begin at 8:00 and tickets cost $25, $12.50 for members.
