Ibanez Warms the Bench

Perhaps you noticed that one key player was absent from Sunday's lineup when the Phils took on the Boston Red Sox. Raul Ibanez sat Sunday's game out with a sore left Achilles tendon.

"Ibanez has been a little sore. I noticed that he was limping a little bit and he had some tenderness in his Achilles," said manager Charlie Manuel

And although the Phillies were able to defeat the Red Sox 11-6 even without their newest superstar, how long can the Phightins stay on top without Ibanez?

Thankfully, we won't have to find out (not yet anyway). The left fielder is confident he'll be back in the rotation for Tuesday's game at Citizens Bank Park against the Toronto.
