The mysterious Hop Sing Laundromat is inching ever closer to opening, but nailing down a date is the biggest moving target in the Philly bar scene. The Feast chatted up the elusive Lee—the proprietor of Hop Sing Laundromat—about the bar's progress, and he said that more information would be available at the 2011 Whiskey Festival tonight at The Crystal Tea Room.
While tickets are sold out to the event, those lucky enough to have snagged a pass can stop by the Patron stand and grab an access card for the bar, which is opening soon. The card will be required for entry into the bar, and each has a unique number.
When we pressed Lee about an opening date, he said he wouldn't be rushed.
"Somehow the date of November 11 was floated, but that didn't come from me," said Lee. "Official information will be on our Twitter feed." [The Feast]
