Philadelphia became a little bit brighter during Thanksgiving week thanks to the return of two holiday traditions.
The annual Holiday Light Show started up on Friday at Macy's in Center City.
A holiday tradition since 1956, the light show includes about 100-thousand LED lights and the majestic sound of the Wanamaker organ. You can catch it every hour from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. now through New Year's Eve at 1300 Market St.
Also lighting up Center City is the 4th Annual Comcast Holiday Spectacular.
The show utilizes one of the world's largest 4 mm LED video display at the Comcast Center. The 15-minute show features lots of cool displays, including The Nutcracker, a new "Winter Wonderland" scene and a "Carol of the Bells" mega light show every hour.
The show was created using cutting-edge technology that takes holiday shows to new heights.
The Comcast Holiday Spectacular runs daily on the hour from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through New Year’s Eve weekend at 1701 JFK Blvd.
