He is a world-renowned, uber-talented chef; his New York restaurant Le Bernadin is consistently praised as one of the best in the country and his Philly outpost 10 Arts is darn good eating as well. But the thing that makes us drool when we think of Eric Ripert is not his haute-cuisine dishes but the man himself.
Is it the French accent, his "gentle-giant" nature (how sweet was he on Top Chef?!), or his linguine with sea urchin and caviar? We're unsure, but one thing we do know is that he'll be in Philly tomorrow. And we're so there!
Ripert will be holding court at his restaurant 10 Arts for a signing of his latest book, On the Line: The Stations, The Heat, The Cooks, The Costs, The Chaos and The Triumphs. Meet the man in the flesh and nosh on canapés from Le Bernadin recipes while you wait for him to sign your copy, "with much love, Eric." (We wish!)
The free event goes from 5:30 to 7:30 and reservations are recommended.
