The Pennsauken Goodwill location will host its second annual Prom Dress Sale from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on March 26, 2011. From sassy mini dresses to sweeping ballgowns, the Route 70 retail store will be bursting with new and gently used special occasion dresses. Donated by area formalwear and bridal boutiques, the gowns will begin at $19.99, with sizes 2 through 16 to be offered.
The economy-friendly Prom Dress Sale follows the success of the Goodwill's recent Bridal Sale, wherein over $10,000 worth of bridal gowns were sold. Says Goodwill Chief Operating Officer Michael Shaw, “With many parents faced with financial challenges during tough economic times, Goodwill’s second annual Prom Dress Sale couldn’t come at a better time.”
While it's unlikely that a $14,000 prom gown will be hidden within the racks, the Prom Dress Sale's vast selection of gowns will surely appease even the most finicky teen shopper. An added bonus: Proceeds from the sale will benefit Goodwill's career services and job training programs, "which help prepare local residents with disabilities and disadvantages for finding work."
The Pennsauken Goodwill is located at 5461 Rte. 70, Pennsauken, N.J. 08110
