Get Star Struck: De Niro, Cooper Coming to Philly

New thriller will be shot in Philadelphia

Get ready for some major star sightings in Center City.

Screen legend Robert De Niro will join Philadelphia native and Germantown Academy grad Bradley Cooper on production of the film Dark Fields in the coming weeks, according to Michael Klein at the Inquirer.

The film is a thriller that casts Bradley Cooper as a writer who discovers a secret drug that makes more intelligent, more successful and more handsome (yeah, like that’s even possible). De Niro will play a brilliant financial whiz in the adaptation of Alan Glynn’s novel.

And rumors are running rampant that UPenn grad Elizabeth Banks (Scrubs, Zach and Miri Make a Porno) will return to the City of Brotherly Love to star in the film.

Filming is set to begin in the next few weeks, so keep your eyes open, you never know what Starr restaurant, coffee shop or gym these celebs will turn up at.
