Get Bendy in an Unlikely Setting

Appreciate yoga through art

After yesterday's hullabaloo, it's back to business as usual. That means, shuffling back and forth in the cold, spilling your morning coffee -- and smelling like it for the rest of the day.

If your mental time-out from your life involves a relaxing yoga class after work, check out Yoga in the Galleries at the Penn Museum. (You've come a long way from making out in the library stacks, haven't you?) Wouldn't you rather surround yourself with inspiring pieces of art as you focus on your breathing than stare at yourself in the mirror during warrior pose? That's nothing compared to the added bonus of avoiding post-work rush hour at your local gym.

Certified yoga teacher Lauren Brown leads you through the poses, which accommodate every ability level. Classes cost $12 and go from 5:30 – 7:00. Bring your own yoga mat and towel, and wear comfortable clothing. It's a small price to pay to get a little of your sanity back.
