Free Cheesesteaks for 1,000

Get a homegrown Philly classic at LOVE Park

Come get your fill of free, home-raised meat!

This Wednesday, Aug. 25 at 11 a.m., Frog Commissary founder Steve Poses will serve up free cheesesteaks thanks to the Philly Homegrown Campaign .

Since it’s homegrown, that means all of it -- yes, all of the ingredients used in the cheesesteaks -- come from within a 100-mile radius of the city.

You can grab one of these Philly classics at the mayor’s farmer’s market at LOVE Park on the corner of 15th Street and JFK Boulevard.

Poses will crank out 250 cheesesteaks, cutting them into quarters.

But this is no ordinary Philly classic. He’ll top it off with his sweet-and-hot pepper mix.

So get 'em quick! There’s bound to be a few scuffles over who snatches the 1,000th.
