Festival Hop this Weekend

FRIDAY
Taste Philly: The 11-day Fourth of July celebration begins today at the Taste of Philadelphia event at Penn's Landing. Hear live jazz acts like Gerald Veasley and the Philadelphia Freedom Jazz Orchestra as you sample cuisine from local restaurants and food trucks. 5-9 p.m.

Sample Some Brews: Wash down all those samples with some free Left Hand Brew samples at Bell Beverage. Try their new 'TNT' brew made from black tea or the limited-edition 'Twin Sisters' double IPA. 4-6 p.m.

SATURDAY
Summer Solstice: Head to Clark Park today for its 41st annual Summer Solstice Festival. Meander the shaded park and check out the 40+ vendors hawking all kinds of goods, then get your spot on the grass to see Lion Versus, Psychic Teens, Dangerbird and many more. Noon-Whenever

Boom-Bang-Pop: Tonight, it's back to Penn's Landing to see some fireworks on the river and have a BYO Picnic. Follow our guide to make the experience more memorable and less frustrating. 7:30-10 p.m.

SUNDAY
Belgian Beer Fest: Keep the festival train going and head to World Cafe Live today for the 4th Annual Belgian Beerfest. Sample the offerings of over two dozen Belgian breweries, including new imports to Philadelphia from all around the word, and dine on an extensive pairing menu. $20; 1 p.m.
