Felice Bros. Don't Fake the Folk

Brothers in Arms: Most of the time, we can associate "bands" and "Brooklyn" with some either a twee all-girl band or an avant garde thrash outfit, but the The Felice Brothers are cut from a different cloth. First of all, two of them actually are brothers, second of all, their sound is a lot more country blues than indie rock, which makes sense as they actually hail from the Catskills. They play tonight at Union Transfer. $20-$22 8:00 p.m.

Hella Good: The nom de plume evidently is a reference to the Buddhism's equivalent to hell, but Swedish DJ/Producer Avicii seems to be living a charmed life to this point. At the tender age of 22, he's already working on his second world tour to packed houses. Tonight, he's doing his thing at the Sun National Bank Center up in Trenton. It's a bit of a hike, but well worth it if you have a need to get your grind on. From $45 8:00 p.m.

Come Early: For those of you with more open schedules these days (hey, we're not judging), you can at least take advantage of the one potentially positive thing underemployment has to offer: an open schedule. Try this extra early happy on for size at the estimable Khyber Pass Pub 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.

Going out can be a gamble, so why leave it up to chance? Stack the deck every afternoon by peeping Play's Dance Card.
