Fun Father’s Day Festivities

If you are not sure what to do for dad on Father's Day, look no further. There are plenty of activities that are sure to put a smile on his face. And the best part is that everything is close by.

If dad is a diehard sports fan, the Phillies will be playing at home Father’s Day weekend versus the Baltimore Orioles. The Saturday game starts at 7:05 p.m. and the Sunday game starts at 1:35 p.m.
Try something different this Father’s Day and dine on water rather than land. The Spirit of Philadelphia is having a Father’s Day breakfast, lunch and dinner cruise for dad. What makes this idea even better is that dad cruises for free (you’ll have to cough up some dough for the rest of the fam).

Dad a history guru? Visit one of Philly’s famous museums. The American Helicopter Museum is open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Tickets are just $6 for adults and $5 for seniors. There are other fun museums like The Franklin Institute, The Academy of Natural Science, and The Philadelphia Art Museum too.
All dads love a cold beer. City Food Tours is having a Father's Day Beer and Food Tour in Philadelphia, Pa. The event is two hours long and it focuses on how foods are made, what to look for in good food and you are also able to meet chefs. There is, of course, beer and cheese tasting as well.

There is nothing better then a good ol’ fashioned family picnic. The Father’s Day Rally Committee is holding its 20th Annual Father's Day Picnic The day will be full of food, games and fun for everyone.

If your dad loves to laugh then take him to see Jerry Seinfeld on Saturday, June 20 (Father’s Day Weekend) at the Academy of Music in Philly. You can attend the 7 p.m. or 9:30 p.m. show. Tickets range from $159 to $487 for two tickets.

Fishing is always a fun and relaxing thing to do. The North Star, in Ocean City, N.J. is holding a Father’s Day fishing adventure to sea. There will be two half-day trips, one leaving at 8 a.m. and arriving back to port at noon and the second trip from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Making a reservation is strongly recommended.
Alba's Vineyard in Milford, N.J. are holding a Father’s Day Festival on Sunday, June 21 from noon to 5 p.m. There will be wine, food, music, crafters and activities for all ages. As an added bonus, the vineyard will have free parking and admissions. If you want to wine taste, that will cost an extra $5 per person.
If it is a nice and sunny day take dad on a golf outing. There are a ton of places that you can go to that offer golfing. Spring Mill Country Club in Ivyland, Pa., Bucks Club in Jamison, Pa and Cape May National Golf Course in Cape May County, N.J. all are great places to golf.
