Bengals' CB Jonathan Joseph Calls Eagles Game Plan Predictable

There has been a lot of griping in Philly over the play-calling of Andy Reid and the Eagles coaching staff. Some have said that the Eagles sketch out their first few drives and then just run their normal stuff the rest of the game.

Finally someone who has to defend it said this is indeed the case. Bengals cornerback Jonathan Joseph says the defense knew what was coming from the Eagles all day long.

"From watching film, other teams in the league have been successful against them," said Joseph, who recorded one of the three Bengals interceptions and tallied three pass defenses during the 13-13 tie. "They may have a lot of yards or whatever, but teams have been successful getting them off the field. They have tendencies you can pick up on and you have a good idea of what's going on."

That's quite a statement and may be true. Cincinnati has never been known for its defensive prowess but stuffed Philadelphia on 15 of their 18 third down attempts. The Bengals also seemed to be able to jump passing lanes, with Joseph nearly picking off a pass in overtime that would have given them the ball in Eagles territory.

Remember that the Bengals had two weeks to prepare for this game and had ample time to pick up these tendencies.
