Ellie Goulding Covers Elton John

Brit pop sensation Ellie Goulding came over the pond for her U.S. tour, played the Electric Factory last night to a horde of believers and, true to form, played a spare and breathy version of Elton John's "Your Song".

In continuing with what has indeed been an impressive slate of summer music, Ms. Goulding spent the day in Philly before performing last night to a full house. One would hope she had a chance to strap on her Nikes and hit Kelly Drive before the gig.

The show itself was filled with emotional highlights, including her dancerific pop hit "Lights" and other sundry tunes. The setlist might have been on the short side, much as her DC gig the night before, but it still satisfied her fans. Unerringly polite, she was graciously tired at the end of the night. The Philly crowd might not have been the Royal Family, but they were plenty appreciative, anyway.
