DeSean, LeSean Steal Spotlight in Big D

Two of the Eagles young stars starred in Dallas Sunday night as the Eagles beat the Cowboys 30-27.

DeSean Jackson averaged 52.5 yards while hauling in four passes for a career-high 210 yards including a 60-yard bomb on the first play of the game and a 91-yard TD dagger in the fourth quarter. We will ignore the 15-yard over-celebration flag for falling into the end zone on the TD grab.

"That's a little bit of Hollywood left in him," coach Andy Reid quipped after the game.

The most amazing part of DeSean's long TD was that he was only at "60 percent" with a foot and ankle injury he had suffered on an earlier punt return, he said postgame.

Jackson put the Birds up for good while LeSean McCoy put the nail in the coffin. Shady rushed for a career-high 149 yards on 16 carries including a series of first-down rushes that helped the Eagles run out the clock and preserve the win.

Michael Vick took his share of hits again and threw two interceptions (one wasn’t his fault) but still managed to go 16-for-26 for 270 yards and two TDs. He also added 16 yards on the ground and TD.

Despite not being at his best Vick still did enough to impress Cowboys running back Tashard Choice to the point where Choice asked Vick for an autograph postgame, a moment captured by the Crossing Broad blog.

The Asante Samuel-less defense was gashed for 27 points but still managed to get the victory. Veteran leader Quintin Mikell really stepped up with a team-high six tackles and an acrobatic interception.

Also gotta give a shout out to guard Todd Herremans who caught his second-career TD for the Eagles second score.

Next up for the Birds is a first-place showdown with the Giants next Sunday.

It remains to be seen if injured players like Samuel (knee), Stewart Bradley (elbow) and Brandon Graham (knee) will be available. Don't expect to see Bradley out there -- Reid said he could likely miss the rest of the "regular" season. Also, Brandon Graham could be done for the season with an ACL tear in his right knee, sources told Sports Final's Howard Eskin.
