Calf Injury May Keep Eagles' Curtis From Flight

Eagles wideout Kevin Curtis may miss Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins with a calf injury.

The wide receiver is listed as doubtful after missing practice Friday.

Curtis is no stranger to the injury list this season -- he missed the first six Birds' games following sports hernia surgery.

On the season Curtis has 32 grabs for 375 yards and two scores. A far cry from the 77 catches 1,110 yards and six touchdowns he put up in 2007.

Former Eagles "No. 1" receiver Reggie Brown may be the benefactor of Curtis' woes.

Brown hasn't caught a pass in a month and has been inactive for the past couple weeks. He told reporters he doesn't get why he hasn't been seeing any playing time.

Brown should get a chance to find the field this week if Curtis can't go (and hopefully he can find it considering its been a couple weeks).

Jason Avant has also emerged as a fantasy football sleeper and favorite target for Donovan McNabb after catching five passes for more than 100 yards Monday against the Browns.

Avant's value should increase if Curtis doesn't suit up Sunday.
