If a line launches online and it doesn't crash the e-shop, is it a successful launch?
Early this morning, when Alexa Chung's collection for Madewell hit the site, Madewell.com came crashing down. Chung tweeted: Congrats! You crashed the @madewell1937 website with the purchase onslaught. Glad you like it! Xxxx
Any problems have already been fixed and the site is up and running and completely shoppable. Crisis à la Missoni for Target averted.
Back to the collection: It's brimming with all the charming, tomboy-esque pieces you'd expect to see Alexa Chung wearing—from long-sleeved lace tops to silk pajama pants meant to be worn outside of the bedroom. Simply put, if you're already a fan of Madewell, you'll likely be smitten with this collection, as well.
