Black Swan Shopping Spree

Natalie Portman is in town with her choreographer fiance (and father of her unborn child) Benjamin Millepied, who is currently working with the Pennsylvania Ballet on a piece called "Building on Balanchine." Multiple sources confirm that the "Black Swan" actress has been spotted checking out Philly's boutique hot spots. On Tuesday afternoon, the actress perused the designer labels at Walnut Street's Joan Shepp.

The Philadelphia Daily News' gossip blog reports that Portman continued her shopping excursion yesterday. Accompanied by a small dog, the actress (wearing a navy poncho) stopped into Art in the Age before making her way over to Pine Street's Hello Home. The boutique, which sells home accessories and furniture, confirmed the sighting on its Facebook page with a post saying, "Our second celebrity customer of the week! Oscar-winner Natalie Portman (so gorgeous, and so pregnant!) just stopped in at Hello Home. She’s super nice, and her dog is ADORABLE!"

Our city's resident paparazzi, Hugh E. Dillon of PhillyChitChat, speculates that Portman is staying somewhere in the Washington Square area. It's also rumored that the couple is commuting between Philly and New York City until the debut of "Building on Balanchine" on April 14 at the Merriam Theatre.
