A 25th District police officer was hit by a car Monday morning in North Philadelphia.
The officer was responding to a fight in progress near the intersection of Hunting Park and Whitaker Avenue around 2:30am Monday.
While exiting his squad car, the officer was struck by an alleged drunk driver and dragged about 10 feet, Philadelphia police said.
The officer was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was treated for injuries to his leg and released a short time later.
The alleged drunk driver was arrested.
