The Franklin Mortgage & Investment Co. holds the keys to the greatest cocktails in town, and they're about to let the secret slip. Al Sotack, Colin Shearn, and the boys are designing a new cocktail program for Supper on South Street that is launching before the end of April.
Mitch Prensky, owner of Supper, has already entered into a partnership with the popular speakeasy by providing them with bar snacks and eats since early this year, including charcuterie and cheese plates. Since Franklin has no kitchen, it was an ideal situation for both.
Supper has a fantastic beer and wine list, but their cocktails were always middle of the road. This shot-in-the-arm for the liquor lovers is the final piece of the puzzle, and will raise Supper's profile into the upper echelon of Philly restaurants. We hope the Franklin trains the folks who will be doling out the juice, because in the cocktail game, the devil is truly in the details.
We've got the updated program, and it's deep and daring. The five new cocktails are as follows:
Village Green Preservation Society: Hendrick's Gin, Fresh lemon juice, Honey syrup, Dolin Dry Vermouth, orange bitters
Odyssey & Oracle: Wild Turkey Rye 101, Cocchi Americano Aperitif, Dolin Rouge Sweet Vermouth, Yellow Chartreuse, Angostura bitters
Aftermath: Espolon Reposado, Campari, Bonal, Kahlua, orange bitters
Station To Station: Lairds BIB, Pimms, Fresh lemon juice, St. Germain, Simple syrup, Peychaud bitters
Electric Warrior: El Dorado 3 year, Fresh lime juice, Fresh grapefruit juice, Simple syrup, Grenadine, Angostura bitters
