8/13: A Little Bit Folk, A Little Bit Rock and a Whole Lot of Love

Folk Fest: Round up the family and head to the 48th Annual Philadelphia Folk Festival in Schwenksville tonight. This weekend-long festival includes children's programs, crafts, and campground jams. Of course, we can't forget about the 75 hours of continuous music. Performances include: The Decemeberists, The Derek Trucks Band, Iron and Wine, Tom Rush, Del McCoury Band, just to name a few.  Tickets range $50 to $180 and children from 12-16 will receive a half off adult gate price. We'll Stand by Them:  See 80's hit-makers, The Pretenders, with Cat Power and Juliette Lewis tonight at the Electric Factory.  The show should be a hit, a little bit of British Rock mixed with indie pop and some crazy all rolled into one. Heel the Love:  Gather the family or a special date for the outdoor screening of Marley and Me at Penn's Landing. The romantic comedy begins around 8:30 p.m. and is part of the summer long Screening Under the Stars series. Screening Under the Stars, 301 S.
