7/3-7/4: Fourth of July Concerts and Celebrations

A Diddy Weekend: Just an hour or so outside Philly, A.C. will play host to Diddy and his Dirty Money crew this Saturday night. The legendary producer, rapper and entrepreneur plucked Dawn Richard of Danity Kane and new singer Kalenna Harper to form an unstoppable upbeat R&B duo, Dirty Money. Head to the House of Blues for the hit-makers as well as special bonus guests. Be sure to check out Diddy’s red, white and blue party on Sunday at The Pool in Harrah’s Casino. Dane Cook: The hilarious Dane Cook returns to A.C. this Saturday for a summer comedy show. The snarky stand-up comedian has sold-out show after show from his various comedy tours. Cook has also appeared in over 25 films and TV series such as Employee of the Month, Good Luck Chuck and Crank Yankers. See him for under $100 this weekend. Minas in Concert: If you’re looking for Latin flavor this weekend, wait no more because Minas are coming to the Main Line on Saturday. The popular Brazilian jazz duo will be at the PSALM Salon for under $20. Minas has taken Brazilian music to a different level, combining new instruments and vocal complexities to create a unique sought-after sound. Poetry Slam: Home-cooked barbeque, drinks with a kick, games and poetry make up this Fourth of July bash at the Arts Garage. Concert on the Parkway: "Why don’t you slide" to the Philadelphia Museum of Art this Sunday for a free concert under fireworks? The annual Fourth of July party on the parkway features pop rock group Goo Goo Dolls, hometown group The Roots, R&B sensation Chrisette Michele and D.C.’s own Chuck Brown.
