Fine Art Show: Celebrate 79 years of fine art this weekend in Rittenhouse Square. The Fine Art Show will feature over 150 artists’ unusual, abstract, traditional, modern and unique artwork. Explore new artists, purchase work for your home or get an idea of what to do yourself. The art show will run from 11a.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday. Boathouse #2 will hold its 4th Annual Age of Augustus toga party, a charity event for the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. The foundation is the nation’s oldest and largest need-based scholarship fund for U.S. military families. This Saturday, enjoy a night full music, dancing and, of course, an open bar, all while helping a good cause. Bike Race Block Party: Over 400 cyclists will participate in the 26th Edition of the USA Top Ranked International Cycling Classic this Sunday. Watch the cyclists speed by as you picnic with your family, face paint with the kiddies or bar hop with your friends. Black Tie Beef & Beer: This Sunday night dive into a plate of beef, mashed potatoes and salad as you wash it all down with Philly’s top brews at McGillin’s Olde Ale House. The century-and-a-half-year-old bar will feature a Creative Black Tie Beef & Beer Dinner to celebrate their anniversary and Philly Beer Week. Meet local brewers, enjoy an open bar, delicious dinner, entertainment and prizes for the most creative “black tie” dressed guests. A portion of all proceeds will benefit the Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians, a center to integrate immigrants into the city.
