At this very moment on Ebay, you can make a diamond-encrusted crocodile skin Birkin yours for the buy-it-now price of $330,000. Sure, there are zero bids on that guy, and the dozens upon dozens like it online priced in the high-five figures, but the amazing thing here is that you can actually spend over $300,000 online on a handbag.
According to Christos Garkinos, co-owner of Decadestwo.1, "Hermès is our most sought after brand and Birkin inventory is tightly controlled by Hermès. Therefore, whenever they do arrive at our store, it's a feeding frenzy!" Proof of Christos' theory: While Decadestwo.1's $52,000 Birkin is still available, the shop has already sold a smaller, lower-priced white Birkin for $8,800 — and it's only 24 hours in to the sale.
