Dunlap Tops Eagles Inactives

The biggest Bird (literally) didn’t suit up as the Eagles played the Redskins in Washington Sunday.

The 6-foot-9, 330-pound offensive lineman was ruled out with a back injury. He was already filling in at left tackle for injured lineman Jason Peters (hamstring).

The Eagles were instead forced to go to their third option and former starter Winston Justice. Justice battled through knee issues during the off-season and was inactive for the first five weeks of the season. He started at left tackle while Todd Herremans moved from the left side to the right side -- tasked with protecting Michael Vick’s blind side.

Pro Bowl DE Trent Cole (calf) and starting SS Jarrad Page (stinger) were also out with injuries. Darryl Tapp was expected to fill in for Cole while former starting safety Kurt Coleman steps in for Page.

LB Keenan Clayton made his first appearance on the inactive list while rookies CB Curtis Marsh and OL Julian Vandervelde again were inactive.

The Redskins inactive list was headlined by WR Anthony Armstrong who had a hamstring injury and DB Phillip Buchanon (neck).

The rest of Washington’s inactives were WR Leonard Hankerson, DE Darrion Scott, TE Mike Sellers, OL Willie Smith and LB Markus White.

D.C. RB Tim Hightower was expected to start despite a shoulder injury.
